Airline Pilot Path

How it works

A conversation. Then you decide.

There’s no application and no funnel. You write, we schedule a video or phone call if it makes sense, and you leave with a clearer picture than you had when you sat down.

  1. Step 01

    Write me

Use the contact form. Tell me where you are — never flown, looking at schools, changing careers — and what you want to figure out.

  2. Step 02

    We set a time

If it makes sense to talk, we’ll pick a time for a scheduled video or phone call. A conversation. Not a webinar. Not a pitch deck.

  3. Step 03

    We talk it through

You ask the questions you’ve been sitting on. I’ll answer them plainly, including when the honest answer is “it depends” or “I don’t know.”

What a session covers

It depends on you. These are the subjects that come up most often.

Whether this career fits

Lifestyle, schedule, cost, and what the job actually feels like after the training montage is over.

The usual path

How people typically go from a first lesson toward an airline job. I’m not selling a route. I’m describing the one most people walk.

What training looks like day to day

Lessons, weather, checkrides, plateaus. The unglamorous parts that decide whether you finish.

Money and time

The real tradeoffs. I won’t post a fake price for training I don’t sell. I will talk about how people think about the cost.

Family & career changes

How to balance training, family, work, and finances while making the transition.

Certificates and ratings

I’ll walk you through the usual order, and what each certificate is actually for. I’m a CFI and an ATP.

Airline hiring, from the inside

What the industry looks like when you’ve already been through it — without pretending I can get you hired.

What to ask a flight school

Before you sign. Before you wire money. Before someone calls you a “future captain” in an email.

Whatever you actually came to ask

I don’t have a packaged curriculum. That’s the point. Bring the question that’s been in your head.

Afterward

You should know whether you want to keep going, what to look at next, and which questions still need a school, a doctor, or time — not another opinion. If you want to talk again later, we can. There’s no package to upsell.

Talk through it first

A conversation costs a lot less than signing up for training you haven’t decided you want. People spend tens of thousands, sometimes over $100,000, getting certificates. Talk through it first. I also wrote the path out in plain language on How to become a pilot.

Ready when you are.

Tell me where you are in this — never flown, looking at schools, changing careers — and what you’re trying to figure out. I’ll write back, and we’ll schedule a video or phone call.
